Ingredients

  • 12 oz package frozen french fries
  • 1/2 container Austin Slow Burn chile con queso
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 3 slices crispy bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  • Bake french fries according to the package instructions. While shoestring french fries work well with this recipe, feel free to get creative and use other shapes of potatoes such as tater tots, steak fries, waffle fries and crinkle fries. If you don’t have frozen potatoes on hand, you could make your own french fries with sliced fresh potatoes that you roast in the oven with a little olive oil and salt and pepper.
  • While the french fries cook, warm the Austin Slow Burn chile con queso in the microwave so it will be easier to pour. You can control the heat by selecting the mild, medium or hot versions. If you need even more heat, you can always add pickled jalapenos as a garnish.
  • After the fries are done and sufficiently crispy, remove them from the oven and assemble them in a mound on a serving dish. Season them lightly with salt and pepper. Then, pour on the queso, covering the mound with cheesy goodness.
  • Finish your masterpiece by sprinkling green onions, crumbled crispy bacon and a large dollop of sour cream.
  • Serve and enjoy!
